One Scottish Evening - CD
In 2001 and 2002, the band prepared a concert that we called "One Scottish Evening" and we presented it in a series of concerts in Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and the Pacific Northwest USA. We recorded the Saskatoon concert, and produced a CD. The original CD sold out, and this special re-print edition is only 100 CDs. You can hear some track samples [and also purchase the CD] on our CDBaby page.
Along the Road - Bagpipe Music
This new collection of bagpipe music contains 79 tunes in a variety of styles and idioms, including three original piobaireachd and one classic piobaireachd in a fresh setting. There are notes about the composers and tunes, as well as vintage photos of some contributors.
The compiler collected many of the tunes “along the road,” beginning in the late 1970s. Composers include a number of Western Canadian pipers, featuring tunes from previous generations of piper/composers.
Most notable are a number of compositions and arrangements from the late Pipe Major Donald MacLeod, M.B.E., including his unpublished piobaireachd, "Sandy MacPherson's Salute." Most of these tunes have not been previously published.
Major Gavin Stoddart, B.E.M.- M.B.E. • P-M William MacLeod [Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada] • James McMillan [Student of Archie MacNeill & Teacher of Terry & Jack Lee] • P-M Alex Cupples [Gordon Highlanders] • Bob Worrall • Peter MacLeod, Snr. • Ann Gray • Sean Somers • Jori Chisholm • P-M James Watt, CD • Douglas Will, Winnipeg • Robert MacNeil • James L. McWilliams • Norman Beaton [son of South Uist pioneers in SK] • P-M Neil Sutherland, Regina and Winnipeg
Are You My Sister? - CD
This is the one and only CD of the Regina Celtic-inspired group IRON BREW, recorded in 1998. Including traditional and original material from band members Gord Fisch [guitar, vocals, arranging and producing ideas], Michael Quinn [bodhran, vocals and Irish history discussions], Barb MacDonald [vocals, whistles, laughing and random hugs], Tim Dixon [all non-bodhran percussion, anything with dreadlocks or tie-dye, sly smiles and deep, soulful chuckles], and Iain MacDonald [Highland pipes, uilleann pipes & smallpipes, and as little singing as possible]. Recording genius Kevin Churko did the recording and mixing, back when he was a fresh young gun. Have a look at his recent credits to see the kind of credentials he has developed since his days at Regina's Touchwood Studios!
